Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped more than 4 million people just like you, from around the world, become more confident speakers and leaders. Bridge Builders Toastmasters is part of Toastmasters International - a world leader in communication and leadership development, with approximately 270,000 members in more than 14,200 clubs in 148 countries. This network of clubs and their learn-by-doing program are sure to help you improve.
Everyone in a Toastmasters meeting was once at the level you are now. The environment is friendly and supportive, and the self-paced program allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment.
- There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations, pointing out the strengths and suggesting improvements. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Members also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop their leadership skills.
- We learn through the Toastmasters Pathways learning experience, an exciting, flexible and interactive way to develop your skills and help others in the club develop theirs. Pathways helps you learn communication and leadership skills that you need to succeed. It gives you:
- The opportunity to build up to 300 unique competencies
- 11 specialized learning paths to choose from
- Online content, so that you can learn anytime, anywhere

How it Works
Toastmasters gain communication and leadership skills in an experiential learning environment. Much of it occurs in regular club meetings, where members present prepared speeches and receive constructive feedback to help them improve. We also enjoy impromptu speaking where members AND guests can speak for one to two minutes on a topic. Members' leadership skills are enhanced by taking on meeting leadership roles and serving as a club officer. Leadership opportunities also abound outside the club, by members taking active leadership positions in the District and beyond.
